Bio
Welcome to my blog!

this is NOT my primary blog, just the one that i use for my creative endeavors... ie scrapbooking and papercrafting.

So who am I???

I am 27 years old and I call Miami my home away from home. I am a former country girl who has been scrapbooking since a vacation in 2004 where my travel partner and I dared one another to create albums to exchange.

I have only began scrapbooking in 2004, But I spent formidable years with various notebooks and journals which I crammed full of photos, drawings and snippets of her life. I was adopted when I was about 5 years old and because of that, I have very little photos from my early childhood available to me. It is believed that I takes scrapbooking so seriously because I want to ensure that no further memories of my life are lost or forgotten.

I make it a point to be creative for at least 20 minutes every day. Creativity is my release of the daily stress I encounter in my job in the criminal justice system. While not scrapbooking, I find enjoyment in spending time with my husband (AKA Scrubby) and our 2 dogs (Muppet and Jenny). I also practice Shito-ryu karate and my training for my black belt in December 09. When asked what my favorite products are, my response would be "the kind for scrapbooking!" I has such a fondness of scrapbooking and papercrafting supplies that in early 2008, I even opened her own online business, a monthly kit club found at www.commit2paper.com.

I will give everything a try once, and has a passion for stitching, doodling, incorporating bling and creating popups by cutting the patterns out of paper. I have a hard time categorizing my scrapbook style but if forced to, I would tell you to call my style "simple."

In 2008, it was my scrapbooking goal to be a part of a one-a-day project and planned to create 366 scrapbook layouts. By years end, I had created 451 Layouts.

For 2009, the goal is 548 layouts in the year.... in otherwords, 1.5 layouts per day. this is a goal i do not believe that i can reach and still maintain quality work, but its worth trying, right?

i am always up for a challenge or a new technique. when i get set on an idea, i like to follow through and my projects dont tend to take a lot of time when i get started. i love to share. i love feedback and suggestions of how my work could be better. but most importantly, i love the thought that i could be inspiring others into using their brains creatively.

this was a really fun layout though it weights a ton! it has over 1000 eyelets and brads and took me 7 hours and a bottle of tylenol to complete.

Because i like to study martial arts one of the things i am working on is the ongoing project of chronicling my athletic accomplishments...
